1 oz British Silver Britannia

The British Silver Britannia has a unique history among bullion investors. The gold coins were first introduced in 1987, but it wasn't until a decade later, in 1997, that the Silver Britannia made its debut. From 1997 to 2010, the Royal Mint used alternating designs of Britannia on the reverse side of the coin.

About The 1 oz British Silver Britannia

The British Silver Britannia coins in this product listing are from random years of mintage and are in uncirculated condition. The Royal Mint began the production cycle of its major bullion coins for the year 2023 by creating a final effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Unfortunately, the Queen passed away in September 2022, leaving the mint with very little time to create a new portrait. As a result, a limited run of 2023 Britannia's were struck with Her Majesty’s effigy before introducing new coins in the 2023 series featuring His Majesty, King Charles III.
