Since its introduction in 1988, the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf has only ever featured Queen Elizabeth II. Her Late Majesty is the only monarch that generations of Canadians have known, but her passing in September 2022 means that her son Charles now reigns as King Charles III. The 2024 Maple Leaf Series is the first to feature King Charles III.

The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins available in this product listing are from random years of mintage and in uncirculated condition. The image of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse will be one of three designs. The original, first-generation design is included only on coins issued in 1988 or 1989. The second generation design is included on coins issued between 1990 and 2004. The last generation design is included on coins issued from 2005 to 2023. The 2024 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf will be the first year to feature the image of King Charles III.

Each coin is made of 1 ounce of .9999 pure silver.
They carry a face value of $5 (CAD) issued by the Canadian federal government.
The sugar maple leaf is featured on the reverse, while the obverse will feature either Queen Elizabeth II or King Charles III.
The sugar maple leaf was originally designed by Walter Ott for the Gold Maple Leaf in 1979.
These coins are in uncirculated condition and may include toning, milk spots, or slight contact marks.
You can purchase individual coins that come in protective flips or mint tubes of 25 coins per tube.
Arnold Machin designed the original generation of Queen Elizabeth II. The second generation was designed by Dora de Pedery-Hunt. The third generation was designed by Susanna Blunts.
